Annapolis History & Hauntings

Day 1

In the late 1700s, Annapolis served as the nation's first peacetime capital under George Washington. Throughout the 18th and 19th centuries, this has been the location of the legendary Maryland Inn, popular for lodging statesmen, governors and colonial and revolutionary war persona. Today, we will start our day in Annapolis with a private luncheon at this historic landmark. Following lunch, we will be led by a spirited guide through the timeless narrow streets of this old and creaky town. Stopping at spooky spots, we'll hear stories told with dramatic zeal of those that have passed. After the walking tour, board the motorcoach for a guided drive to learn more about the history of Maryland's capital city. Next, step aboard a classic vessel for a narrated cruise of the Annapolis Harbor and the banks of the U.S. Naval Academy.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Private lunch at Maryland Inn
12:00 PM - 1:30 PM Historic ghost lecture & walk
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM Guided Annapolis driving tour
3:00 PM - 3:40 PM Annapolis harbor cruise
4:00 PM Depart for home
A light food stop, not included in the cost of the tour, will be made enroute home.

Lunch Options

1. Grilled Flat Iron Steak & Arugula Salad - includes heirloom tomatoes, roast corn, cucumber, dried cherries with blue cheese
2. Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich on Focaccia bread with bacon, avocado, manchego, served with housemade chips
3. Braised Pot Roast with roasted root vegetables and parmesan polenta
4. Grilled 5oz Salmon with Jasmine rice and grilled asparagus
Vegetarian and Gluten-Free options (Chef's Choice) are available if required.
All meals include house salad and Chef's choice dessert.

Tips for Perkiomen motorcoach drivers and tour escorts are not included in the price of this tour. We feel that these gratuities should be extended on an individual basis and dictated by the level of service provided.

Motorcoach seating is assigned at the time of reservation but can not be guaranteed. Although we do our best to keep each traveler in the seat assigned at the time of reservation, there are times that it is necessary to move seat locations. Please be sure to verify your final seat number(s) with the driver at the time of boarding.

To fully participate in this tour may require extended amounts of walking. There may be steps, inclines, uneven surfaces or extended periods of standing. Participants with physical limitation should take this into consideration.
