Assateagues Ponies & Fenwick Island

Day 1

With a brief rest stop we will travel directly to Ocean City, MD to make the most of our day. Upon arrival we will pick up our tour guide and head for Berlin, MD, where we will enjoy lunch and browsing on our own in this quaint, historic town. We will then enjoy a driving tour of Assateague Island's Famous "Home of the Wild Ponies" and Visitor's Center. Our lodging for the next two nights will be at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront. This evening dinner will be included at Harrison's Harbor Watch Restaurant, overlooking the beautiful Ocean City Inlet.

Day 2

After breakfast we will meet our guide who will show us around Fenwick Island, DE. Included will be a viewing and history of the Fenwick Island Lighthouse, a tour of the Indian River Lifesaving Station Museum, lunch at a local restaurant, and a unique presentation at Discoversea Shipwreck Museum. We will then return to the hotel to freshen up before dinner and entertainment at the Dickens Parlour Theatre.

Day 3

Today, after breakfast, we will board The Explorer for an educational and relaxing eco-cruise around the Assawoman Bay. You will be free to shop on the boardwalk and get lunch on your own prior to departing for home.

Tips for Perkiomen motorcoach drivers and tour escorts are not included in the price of this tour. We feel that these gratuities should be extended on an individual basis and dictated by the level of service provided.

Motorcoach seating is assigned at the time of reservation but cannot be guaranteed. Although we do our best to keep each traveler in the seat assigned at the time of reservation, there are times that it is necessary to move seat locations. Please be sure to verify your final seat number(s) with your driver at the time of boarding. Historically, daily seat rotation was practiced on most multi-day tours. We have suspended this practice for a period of time. Seat rotation will be explained by your driver or tour escort if reinstated.

To fully participate in this tour may require extended amounts of walking. There may be steps, inclines, uneven surfaces or extended periods of standing. Participants with physical limitation should take this into consideration.
