Brooklyn Chocolate Mania

Day 1

Visit four of the finest traditional and artisanal chocolates being made in Brooklyn! In between stops, learn the history of chocolate in Brooklyn and how it is created from "bean to bar".
Our plan is to visit the following locations throughout the day.
- Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory for a scoop of their famous chocolate ice cream while learning about the ice cream making process.
- The Chocolate Room in Cobble Hill to learn about their history and sample the award-winning mini chocolate cupcakes and Belgian hot chocolate.
- Raaka Chocolates in Red Hook. Raaka means "raw" in Finnish, so they don't roast their cocoa beans at Raaka. They allow the natural flavor profiles to create imaginative chocolates like Pink Sea Salt, Earl Grey, Coconut Milk, Ghost Pepper and more. Samples are unlimited at Raaka.
- Li-Lac Chocolates in Sunset Park. Li-Lac is the oldest chocolate maker in NYC. Taste samples of three different varieties of their chocolates. Usually it's butter crunch, sea salt caramel, and almond bark but those samples can change from time to time.

Lunch is included at Grimaldi's where each person will receive two slices of Grimaldi's Margherita (a typical Neapolitan pizza made with San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, salt & extra virgin olive oil) and a soft drink.

Grimaldi's does not offer Gluten-Free pizza. If a Gluten-Free option is required, Grimaldi's will provide an alternative dish. Please notify the reservationist at the time of reservation if a Gluten-Free option is required.

You will be seated at tables and the food will be brought to you. If you wish to purchase other food in addition to what is included, you may do so. Please be aware that Grimaldi's is cash only, but they have an ATM onsite if needed.

Tips for Perkiomen motorcoach drivers and tour escorts are not included in the price of this tour. We feel that these gratuities should be extended on an individual basis and dictated by the level of service provided.

Motorcoach seating is assigned at the time of reservation but can not be guaranteed. Although we do our best to keep each traveler in the seat assigned at the time of reservation, there are times that it is necessary to move seat locations. Please be sure to verify your final seat number(s) with your driver at the time of boarding.

To fully participate in this tour may require extended amounts of walking. There may be steps, inclines, uneven surfaces or extended periods of standing. Participants with physical limitation should take this into consideration.
