Cape Cod and The Islands

Cape Cod and The Islands

Cape Cod is renowned for its 559 miles of glorious coastline, quaint villages, scenic byways, and a rejuvenating ambiance. It has 15 towns and scores of villages where visitors can find respite from the ordinary. New England's heritage has traditionally been linked to the bounty of the sea. This is especially evident when you see the elaborate captain's homes typical on Cape Cod and the islands of Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, and Block Island.

After breakfast we will meet our guide for a full day of touring. We will travel the historic Route 6A - Old King's Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod History. It winds past hundreds of historic structures which characterize its early development. During our touring we will view a Cape Cod lighthouse and stop at the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor's Center. Lunch will be on your own in Provincetown, at the tip of Cape Cod. Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries that make this artists/fishermen village so unique. This afternoon you will be able to choose between two activities - Whale Watching or Dune Tour. Dinner is included this evening.
