Grand Illumination in Williamsburg

Day 1

Sit back and relax as we begin our southern journey to Virginia. With rest and lunch enroute, we will arrive mid-afternoon at our lodging for the next 2 nights. After check-in we will depart for Busch Gardens Christmas Town celebration. With millions of twinkling lights, holiday shows & park favorite rides, Bush Gardens is transformed into a winter wonderland filled with holiday and festive cheer. A voucher (valid at any restaurant on site) will be included for dinner in the park for this evening.

Day 2

After breakfast we will visit the world's largest living history museum, Colonial Williamsburg. Consisting of 89 original buildings, shops, homes, museums, and gardens that are preserved and restored to their former 18th century appearance. You will be free to enjoy the restoration on your own. This evening we will celebrate the start of the holiday season at Colonial Williamsburg by attending the Grand Illuminations. Enjoy musical performances and a firework show that will be fired simultaneously from two locations within the Restoration. Please feel free to bring along lawn chairs.

Colonial Williamsburg no longer offers group lunch reservations at their Colonial Taverns during Grand Illumination. You can enjoy the experience of dining at a Colonial Tavern while in Williamsburg and we encourage you to make individual reservations to do so during the Grand Illumination. If you wish to purchase a tavern meal on Saturday before the Illuminations, we would suggest lunch or an early dinner. There are 4 taverns from which to choose. Information about each tavern can be found on the website www.colonialwilliamsburg.com. We suggest you call 1-800-447-8679 well in advance to make your reservation. Day 3

Before departing the Williamsburg area, we will have free time for shopping at a local general store. After, we will depart for home. With stops for lunch and rest enroute, our return will be early evening.

Our intention is to run each tour as originally planned and published. However, if deemed necessary to do so, Perkiomen Tours reserves the right to make changes to tour components, schedules or itineraries without prior notification.

Tips for Perkiomen motorcoach drivers and tour escorts are not included in the price of this tour. We feel that these gratuities should be extended on an individual basis and dictated by the level of service provided.

Motorcoach seating is assigned at the time of reservation but cannot be guaranteed. Although we do our best to keep each traveler in the seat assigned at the time of reservation, there are times that it is necessary to move seat locations. Please be sure to verify your final seat number(s) with your driver at the time of boarding. Historically, daily seat rotation was practiced on most multi-day tours. We have suspended this practice for a period of time. Seat rotation will be explained by your driver or tour escort if reinstated.

To fully participate in this tour may require extended amounts of walking. There may be steps, inclines, uneven surfaces or extended periods of standing. Participants with physical limitation should take this into consideration.
