Day 1

Pennsylvania's springtime panorama will provide the sights as we travel westward to our lodging for the evening in Westlake, Ohio.

Day 2

An early departure will begin the day as we travel into Michigan, with arrival in Holland in the afternoon. Upon arrival we will visit Veldheer's Tulip Farm and De Klomp Wooden Shoe & Delft Factory. With over 6 million tulips, it's a great opportunity to see fields of beautiful flowers at Holland's only Tulip Farm. We will then check-in to our Holland lodging for the next three nights. This evening we will enjoy dinner and a show.

Day 3

Today we will visit Windmill Island Gardens, Holland's icon and America's only authentic, working Dutch windmill. We will discover how this beautiful machine produces flour for their community. Multiple tulip fields provide a marvelous backdrop, and an Amsterdam street organ, Dutch carousel, and more provide fun for all ages. After free time for lunch on your own we will visit Nelis' Dutch Village. The park is like a step back into the Netherlands, complete with authentic Dutch architecture, flowering gardens, canals, and windmills. The history and culture of the Dutch come to life as associates dressed in authentic costumes and wooden shoes demonstrate Old Dutch traditions. After an included dinner we will enjoy special musical entertainment.

Day 4

A full day of Tulip Time festivities is in store for us today! A guided tour of Holland will familiarize us with the town and our step-on guide will point out all the highlights. After lunch at one of the local churches, we will find our reserved seats for the special themed parade. Thousands of spectators line the streets of downtown to watch amazing floats, marching bands, Dutch Dancers, and numerous organizations present their finest in over 2 miles of pure celebration. We will then return to the hotel to freshen up before returning downtown for dinner on your own. This evening we will enjoy musical entertainment.

Day 5

This morning we will check-out and depart for Akron, Ohio, the center of the global rubber empire and corporate home of Goodyear. Upon arrival in Akron, we will tour Stan Hywet Hall and gardens, which is considered one of the finest examples of Tudor Revival architecture in the country. Built from 1912 - 1915 for Frank A. Seiberling, co-founder of Goodyear and founder of the Seiberling Rubber companies, it contains art treasures from around the world. After our tour of this impressive house and gardens, we will check-in to our Akron accommodations.

Day 6

Today we check-out and depart for home. En route we will stop for a visit to Wendell August Forge, America's oldest and largest forge. Founded in 1923, a rich history still sings with every strike of their hammers amid the chorus of crackling forge fires. Crafting treasured heirlooms, decorative metalware, ornaments, and home décor is their legacy. Arrival home is scheduled for early evening.
