Day 1

This morning we will make our way to the Finger Lakes region and stop in Hammondsport, NY for lunch on our own. Afterward, enjoy a wine tasting at Bully Hill Vineyards and take in the beautiful views of Keuka Lake. Sit high atop a hill with an expansive vista, tour the museum, or peruse their shop. We will then head to Canandaigua, where a local guide will share about this lovely city before letting you off for free time to explore its vibrant downtown with charming architecture, boutiques, art galleries, cafés, and gift shops. Later we will visit New York Kitchen, a not-for-profit organization, with a passion to guide their guests on a journey to explore New York's dynamic agriculture, craft beverage, and culinary arts. This evening we will enjoy a 3-course dinner while watching chefs demonstrate how to make items that were incorporated in our meal. Our lodging for the next two evenings will be in Geneva, on the northwest shore of Seneca Lake. You will have the opportunity to stroll along the paved lit walkway to get a view of the beautiful sunset, sit outside to watch the gathering dusk, or enjoy a drink at the bar...the night is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 2

Following breakfast, we will meet our guide for the day and enjoy a driving tour of historic Geneva. Take in the sights as our guide explains the many changes this 18th century settlement has experienced to become the charming travel destination it is today. Next, we head to Rose Hill Mansion. Built in 1839, Rose Hill offers a glimpse into the lives of the well-to-do farming families in the 1800's. This impressive Greek Revival home with its giant pillars was once the foremost farm in New York State that used the most innovative farming techniques for the time. We will have a guided tour of the mansion and be able to take in the expansive view of Seneca Lake from its elevated vantage point. We'll then have free time for lunch on your own in the charming village of Skaneateles which offers a variety of dining options as well as many local shops. This village is along the shores of the pure waters of Skaneateles Lake, pronounced "skinny-atlas" by the locals. After lunch, we will cruise on the Judge Ben Wiles with narration by the captain. Glacier-carved hillsides and crystal-clear waters are here to delight you on this comfortable cruise on Skaneateles Lake. With seating both inside and outside, you can enjoy views of the gracious homes that line this beautiful lake and hear tales of the past & present. Our last stop for today will be at Strawberry Fields, a unique hydroponic strawberry picking experience - no bending required! The owner will teach us about the advantages of hydroponic farming. There will be time to browse their shop and enjoy refreshments afterward. Dinner will be on your own this evening. You can dine at the hotel or walk to one of the many downtown restaurants nearby.

Day 3

After breakfast we will visit the Finger Lakes Welcome Center which features a Taste NY Market and sells New York made beer, wine, and cider. Outside you can take photos of Seneca Lake and the famed "I Love New York" sign. Next we will travel to the Corning Museum of Glass. Here we'll enjoy a self-guided tour and lunch on your own at this renowned marvel. The 35 Centuries of Glass Galleries show the most comprehensive and celebrated glass collection in the world. Explore the power of optical fiber to carry you into the future. You will be able to see live demonstrations of the ancient method of glass blowing as well as the strength of glass and explore the museum at your own pace. Arrival home is scheduled for later this evening.
