We will begin our trip North with a narrated ride on the Essex Steam Train into the heart of the Connecticut River Valley. The picturesque countryside includes pristine meadows, quaint farmlands & trestles and bridges over rivers & creeks. We will then travel to our included dinner at the Steaming Tender Restaurant in Palmer, Massachusetts. Step back in time as we enjoy a wonderful dinner in this former train station surrounded by a collection of train and railroad memorabilia. We then head to our hotel and accommodations for this evening.

After breakfast at our hotel, we will take the Amtrak Downeaster to Maine. We will have a guided/narrated driving tour of the coastal villages of Kennebunk & Kennebunkport. Drive past the sandy beaches and rocky coastline, past the George Bush estate and many other sites. Lunch is on your own at Dock Square in Kennebunkport. We will then take a cruise on a Lobster boat, before checking-in to our accommodations for the evening in Portland, Maine. Dinner this evening is at the hotel, then enjoy a night of Musical Bingo!CB, D
You will enjoy an included breakfast this morning before heading out for our narrated step-on guided tour of Portland, Maine's largest city-by-the-sea. Your tour includes a stop at Portland Head Lighthouse. This landmark is the most photographed lighthouse in America, set in Fort Williams Park. We will then head for the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad, where we will tour the museum of restored railroad cars, before riding the rails on a scenic excursion along Portland Harbor, overlooking the Calendar Islands. Lunch will be on your own in Portland. This afternoon we will take a scenic lighthouse cruise around Portland Harbor before heading to our included lobster dinner at a local restaurant this evening.

After a leisurely breakfast at our hotel, we will travel to New Hampshire along with guided touring on our way to an elegant lunch at a local inn. Afterwards, travel on the Cog Railway for a 3-hour, round-trip ride. Enjoy this scenic train ride to the Summit of Mount Washington, the Northeast's Highest Peak! We will continue on through the White Mountain National Forest and through Franconia Notch State Park of New Hampshire enroute to checking-in to your New Hampshire hotel. Dinner will be on your own this evening at your hotel.B, L
We will enjoy a full breakfast at our hotel this morning, then meet our guide to travel a scenic one-way ride aboard the M/S Mount Washington. Your journey on the ship brings you to the port of Wolfeboro, the Oldest Summer Resort in America. Lunch is on your own, along with shopping in the delightful lakeside resort town of Wolfeboro. After lunch, we will tour the Wright Museum, a museum about the World War II years. You will also visit the Old Country Store in Moultonborough, open since 1781. In the late afternoon we will arrive at the Meredith Station of the Winnipesauke Railroad Turkey Dinner Train. Board for a scenic 2-hour trip along Lake Winnipeasauke. Ride the rails while eating hot roast turkey carved at your table with all the trimmings! Arrive at your hotel after dinner.B, D
After an included full breakfast this morning at our hotel, we will depart Lincoln, New Hampshire and head for home. Arrival in Pennsburg is scheduled for late afternoon.B
