Day 1

Touring southward brings us to our lodging in Burlington, NC. Stops for meals & rest will be made along the way.

Day 2

This morning we will visit historic Old Salem Museum & Gardens, a restored Moravian village. The spirits of these devout, industrious people live again as costumed workers introduce us to one of the most authentic restorations in America. After an included lunch, we depart for our lodging for the next two evenings at the Switzerland Inn. Tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, the inn is unsurpassed for its spectacular view! Dinner will be included at the inn.

Day 4

Sadly we must depart the Switzerland Inn, but not before one last breakfast at this lovely inn. We will visit the magnificent Biltmore Mansion & Gardens. Surrounded by an estate of 8,000 acres, this huge mansion is fashioned after a French Renaissance Chateau with elaborate furnishings. Lunch will be on our own while at Biltmore. Continuing west we will travel through Great Smoky Mountains National Park to our lodging for the next two evenings in Pigeon Forge, TN. This evening we will enjoy dinner and a show at Pirates Voyage. Join the most famous pirate, Blackbeard, and his quartermaster, Calico Jack, as they lead the crew in a battle on land, on deck, and in the water. Be amazed by beautiful mermaids, tropical birds, stunning acrobatics and more as you enjoy a fabulous four-course feast.

Day 5

After breakfast at the hotel, our day will be spent at Dollywood, the "entertainment capital of the Smokies". The combination of shows, family rides and Dolly Parton's upbeat music will make the day extra special. Lunch will be on our own during the free time at Dollywood. Dinner is at our leisure this evening either at Dollywood or at one of the restaurants within walking distance of our hotel.

Day 6

This morning, after breakfast, we will be entertained by Patty Waszak. This high-energy variety show, which is part comedy act/part concert, will keep you thoroughly entertained as Patty sings and plays several of her 40 musical instruments! You will be laughing and tapping your toes long after the show is over. Our next stop is for lunch on our own at Bush Bean's Visitor Center, where we can shop, eat, and take a self-guided tour of the museum. We will then depart the Smoky Mountains area and head to our lodging this evening in Wytheville, VA. Dinner is on our own.

Day 7

After a continental breakfast at the hotel we'll depart for home. With stops for rest & lunch enroute, arrival home is scheduled for early evening.
