Virginia's International Tattoo & Coastal Virginia

Virginia's International Tattoo & Coastal Virginia

Dating back to the 17th century Europe, a Tattoo is a ceremonial performance of military music by massed bands. The Tattoo is an exhibition of marching bands, massed pipes and drum teams, gymnasts, Scottish dancers, choirs and more. This largest spectacle of music and might in the United States will be the thrill of a lifetime! While in Virginia we will take the time to tour many military inspired sights and Norfolk Botanical Gardens.

Learn about the rich history and architecture as we ride through the lovely historic district and resort areas. During our tour, we will visit the MacArthur Memorial, the final resting place of General Douglas MacArthur. During our self-guided visit, learn about the life and achievements of General MacArthur, along with the millions of Americans who served the nation. Afterwards, we will visit Chrysler Museum of Art. Browse more than 30,000 painting, photographs, glass, sculptures, and objects from over the past 5,000 years. After an included lunch, we will tour Nauticus and Battleship Wisconsin. Explore its interactive exhibits showcasing the economic, naval, and powers of the sea while at Nauticus. Take short walk across the connecting walkway to one of the largest and last built battleships by the U. S. Navy, the Battleship Wisconsin. Explore the main deck of the battleship, as well as portions of its interior, to learn more about this famous warship and its role in defending the country.
